You Choose How Much To Pay!
Source Point Community Health CIC is a not-for-profit social enterprise offering Traditional Chinese Medicine treatments of Acupuncture, Herbs, Massage, Qi Gong Exercise and Dietary Therapy from King George V Sports and Community Centre in Moretonhampstead.

We charge on a sliding scale, which means that you choose how much to pay depending on how much you can afford for treatment.

We are different from other clinics due to our social principles and that we work and treat as a team – meaning that your case will be diagnosed and your treatment plan created by all of the Source Point clinicians. Therefore, you receive (several) second opinions and an ongoing review process throughout your treatment.

See About Us for more information on who we are and what we do.

We believe in making treatment available to all so have a look at Our Pricing Scale for more details about our fees and see why charging in this way makes it better for all of us.

Community Acupuncture

The Community Acupuncture clinic is our flagship service and the original motivation behind the clinic initiative. It focuses on multi-bed acupuncture delivered by a multi-practitioners model.

‘Multi-Bed’ means you are treated in our large open plan room with seven beds which are screened off for privacy. Multiple people are treated at the same time in 20 minute intervals. Your clinician will have a quick chat with you to ask how things are progressing and will then insert acupuncture needles. Whilst you rest and let the magic work your clinician will be treating someone else nearby. You are never left alone & you can call out for anything at any time.

Remedial Massage

Remedial Massage, called Tui Na (meaning push-pull bodywork) in Chinese medicine, is a powerful and dynamic bodywork system. It is the oldest of the Chinese medicine practices with a history of approximately 5000 years. Tui Na uses the same diagnostic methods as acupuncture to enable individualised and focused treatment.

The treatment moves between firm pressure, vibration, rocking, stretching, cupping, acupressure and sweeping movements. The feeling is often reported as opening and freeing and is extremely effective for pain and restriction in the body. Alongside the physical treatment, a more subtle energetic aspect can also address areas of weakness and points of tension.

Herbal Medicine

Chinese herbal medicine is one of the oldest forms of internal medicine (the treatment of organ related conditions, digestive or respiratory problems, for example) in the world. With over 2000 years of documented use and development right up to the cutting edge modern research which is carried out today, it has proven to be effective for treating both chronic and acute conditions. It involves the use of plants and other substances such as resins & minerals, meaning no animal products, to heal and bring harmony to the body and mind.

A herbal prescription consists of a formula (typically several herbs) that is tailored to a particular individual and condition. These herbs (usually 6-15) act together to restore balance to the body.

Our Reviews

“Everything from the welcoming cup of tea, through the aesthetic of the screened beds to the stunningly effective treatments is just perfect.  Made better still by the heartwarming ethic of accessibility for the whole community and the genuinely practical way that has manifested.  Thank you for being here, long may you remain.”

“I have been suffering with pain in my lower back for close to two years. The GP could not help but gave me some anti-inflammatorys, which I was reluctant to take but took the edge off the pain. Eventually a friend recommended Graeme. During the second treatment I could feel my back start to uncoil and relax. I have never had anything like it, he just seemed to know where it was tight and painful. It took more treatments to resolve years of heavy work and abuse but now I feel great and see Graeme to maintain my body and support energy levels.”

“The practitioners at Source Point have been helping me through a period of time which is tough going both physically and emotionally. Not only have I felt significantly aided by the treatments, I have also felt genuinely cared for in a very real way. I am hugely grateful that I can access this treatment, thanks due to the sliding scale pay scheme.”

“The treatment at Source Point has been excellent and I experienced almost immediate improvement in my symptoms. The atmosphere in the room is calming, and sharing the space with other patients does not detract from this. I would recommend Source Point to anyone.”

“I wanted to thank you for an excellent treatment. Receiving acupuncture has made such a big difference to my health and really changed things for me. I feel much stronger and more myself. Thank you so much for helping me.”

“I had regular acupuncture with Graeme throughout the 3rd trimester of my pregnancy and in the months following the birth of my son. I found this extremely beneficial. On a physical level the acupuncture supported my body as it went through the huge changes of late pregnancy and then birth. It helped to relieve tension and pain in my upper back and strengthen weakness in my lower back. Emotionally the acupuncture sessions helped to steady my mood and allowed me to understand the myriad feelings and emotions around birth and becoming a mother.”
